HOW DOES THE HYDRONIC RV HEATING SYSTEM WORK?

RV Hot Water Heating

Most water heaters are designed to provide an unlimited supply of hot water through a tankless, on-demand hot water system. The water is heated as it is being used, so there is no storage of any hot water. Examples of such heaters are Aqua Hot and Hydro Hot.

Interior Heat for RV

Hydronic heating systems are similar to residential “boiler” systems. Whenever an interior room thermostat calls for heat, the heater’s hot water solution is then circulated through interior heat exchangers (similar to radiators) located throughout the motorhome. Multiple circulation pumps allow for independent interior heating zones, while our heat exchangers are designed to gently disperse heat quietly and evenly throughout the motorhome. (Aqua Hot 600D)

RV Engine Preheat Loop

Some hydronic heating systems are equipped with an engine preheating system which heats the engine’s coolant prior to starting the motorhome in cooler climates. This same system also makes good use of the engine’s heat by transferring it back to the hydronic heating systems while you are driving down the road (motoraide). (Aqua Hot 450D)
